The goal
To learn how to draw people of color and help encourage more diversity in your art.
The origin
I started this drawing challenge in 2017 when I realized how rarely I drew POCs. I had also just learned that childrens books are more likely to feature animal characters than non-white characters.
How it works
Every day for the month of March, draw a person of color with the hashtag #MelaninMarch. It can be in any medium, any style—whatever you want!
